28. The septic shock is
the serious item. It usually means that death is soon to follow (within 72 hours). Sepsis is the result of an infection (in this case a UTI) which has completely overloaded the body, and the beginning of organ failure. Although there are a very few drugs that can help in treatment (which are not given in the EU because they are $50,000/dose), there is a real question if they are worthwhile or particularly effective.

The holy see, if not dead, is now living on borrowed time. Heart failure, kidney and livery failure, and more are slowly working their way through his system.
