Even 20 years ago it was like that. Two groups of chuckleheads would start talking smack with each other, and for a day or two, rumors would swirl around the hallways that so and so was going to kick so and so's ass....Most of the time, if anything happened (and it usually didn't), it took place outside of school, off-grounds. But every year or two something would erupt during lunch, or in the gym locker room, and mass chaos would ensue, followed by the school's predictable over-reaction.

This gave the rest of us less-violent types the perfect means to get away much more creative shit....and usually meant that some over-testosteroned idiot would be out of circulation for a week or so....so no big deal.
