there businesses and served as the initial capital for many of the Communists businesses. I know this for a fact. My friends have worked in China for 14 years. They get hired on at about 70% higher than their Taiwan pay. But then after they've taught the Communists how to run things they are fired. (I guess that's Capitalism.)

I think from Formosa's perspective they thought if they acted with honor and integrity they could some how make the Nightmare to the north go away. I believe the bastard Communists had this plan to use the Formosans to arm China and wait until the Communists were strong enough to stick the dagger in the back of Formosa.
