EVERYONE will see the ad, but no one will ever hear Tom's BORING and PREDICTABLE response/complaint/whine.

Tom could have thrown down the guantlet- he could have said- "This AD is a LIE, and Bush and Cheney are LIARS if they do not pull it."

"I challange anyone in the GOP to call me unpatriotic to my face- these are LIES and the people saying this are flat out LIARS. I am SICK of the LIES from Bush and I am going to challenge every one of them..."

Use "fighting words" like "LIAR"- and back it up with FACTS. Do SOMTHING to get noticed.

Tom failed. That attack ad will be seen by everyone, Tom's muted response will go the way of all of his less than memorable performances...
