http://www.reuters.com/article/bondsNews/idUSN3124411620080131CHICAGO, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Business activity in the U.S. Midwest expanded in January but at a slightly slower rate than expected as new orders dropped and price pressures accelerated, a report showed on Thursday.
The National Association of Purchasing Management-Chicago business barometer fell to 51.5 from 52.0 in December, originally reported at 56.6.
Economists had forecast the index unchanged at 52.0. A reading above 50 indicates expansion.
