THAT is a political move.

People are multi-faceted. They can care about things and act on those things...and also be partisan at the same time.

EDIT: Look at what he's saying...why aren't the FEDS forcing BP to pay for these things? Why doesn't he just send them a bill? Because it's more politically advantageous to suggest Obama is dropping a ball.
