lost home and all contents in Panhandle area (Hurricane Ivan) and it took over five months before I could get a small LOAN, not grant, from FEMA. Even Red Cross said they were broke and could not help us.

Thankfully, family and friends came to our help or we would have been living under a bridge.

Money may have been flowing in other areas of Florida, dunno.
