Editorial: Air Force Academy ignoring Constitution

Albuquerque's Mikey Weinstein is twice right.

Last week he filed a federal lawsuit against his alma mater, the Air Force Academy, charging that its senior officers and cadets are illegally imposing religion, specifically Evangelical Christianity, on others at the school.

Then he complained: "It's a shocking disgrace that I had to file this thing."

Right on both counts.

The academy needs to do an about-face and get religious advocacy out of its command and academic structure, including its chaplains and cadets, as a matter of school policy.
