3. I agree. They both believe that our political party and our government belong to the people.
They are democrats with a small d, not corpo/fascist Democrats in the service of the biggest donors. And both are in power BECAUSE OF the grass roots--because the volunteers, the activists, and the ordinary citizens and voters supported them, and welcomed their opposition to the Iraq War and their fresh ideas about empowerment of the people.

We have a long way to go--especially with the 'TRADE SECRET' voting machines still in place, and with the Financial 9/11 that the Bushwhack baricudas just pulled off. But it is a beautiful thing to see strong stirrings of democracy in this country again, at long last.

It is a credit to Dean that he recovered from what must have been considerable personal disappointment, when the corpo/fascist media deep-sixed his campaign for president. He didn't retire. He analyzed what was wrong and worked hard to correct it. He is a great man. He should be president. But that doesn't seem to bother him. He transcended personal ambition, and also revealed to anyone who hadn't noticed before, or wasn't sure, what a true blue representative of the American people he is.
