Here are the 39-month Bush average and median job approval ratings for 11 pollsters.

The total 11-poll average (mean) is 63.39% and the median is 60.33%.

CNN has Bush approval up from 49% to 53% this month. Draw your own conclusions.

ABC? Well...

I believe Zogby. Apparently, so do those Exit Pollsters who decided to skip the 2002 elections when his final poll numbers did not agree with the Diebolded results, especially in Rob-Georgia..

Avg... 62.59 64.67 64.92 60.26 64.93 64.59 67.35 63.97 64.08 60.70 60.06 63.39
Med... 60.50 63.00 63.00 57.00 63.50 63.00 66.00 62.00 62.00 60.00 57.50 60.33

The median of a sample is the mid-point, with half of the observations above and half below.
The average is the arithmetic mean. The total divided by the number of observations.
