Although we can speculate that 9/11has to do with US global hegemony and energy, what we've been told repeatedly is that this operation IS A MATTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY. I see no reason to doubt that those who are ultimately responsible for the events believe that to be an absolutely correct analysis of intelligence. BUSH is at best a sock puppet, a flack catcher, a social figure upon which we can project our fascination with a "leader". Meanwhile, the real movers and shakers, those who have access to the most sensitive intelligence and have investments in the highest places, continue with their agendas without ANY focus from collective attention.

I would like to hope you are right about the media but I see NOTHIMG coming from "the press" to indicate that, other than pointing the collective attention everywhere other than where it most needs to go, they would do ANYTHING to expose another LIHOP. On the contrary, the media, especially TV media, would be USED, as they were on 9/11, to BROADCAST THE TERROR into every home and office and TV equipped SUV in this nation and around the world. Imagine the helicopters circling the smoldering rubble of even a small nuclear crater where a thriving metropolis once stood. Imagine the agonizing images and stories of the burned and bloodied survivors poured hour after hour into your mind. Faced with this spectacle broadcast into their homes I predict the American people would BEG the pResident and Congress to let the military to take charge--and they would acquiesce. The Constitution and its protections be damned!
