I'm serving on a committee for an election that uses Instant Runoff Voting. We have three people running for Steering Committee and two open seats. They'll all be listed on the ballot together.

Sample Ballot...

---
Steering Committee: 2 will be elected

Candidate A
Candidate B
Candidate C
---

How are the ballots counted if more than one position is up for grabs? Do the two top vote-getters automatically win, or do we need to do runoffs somehow to ensure a majority for each of the two winners?

Has anyone had experience with this sort of thing?
