The status of the Army's 10 active-duty divisions

-1st Infantry Division: just arrived in Iraq to begin one-year tour.

-1st Armored Division: one-year tour in Iraq extended by three months, to June.

-1st Cavalry Division: just arrived in Iraq.

-4th Infantry Division: just returned from Iraq.

-101st Airborne Division: just returned from Iraq.

-82nd Airborne Division: two of its three brigades just returned from Iraq; other brigade due to return shortly.

-10th Mountain Division: currently in Afghanistan and Iraq.

-2nd Infantry Division: one brigade in Iraq; rest of division in South Korea.

-25th Infantry Division: part of division just arriving in Afghanistan for one-year tour; Stryker brigade preparing for Iraq deployment expected this fall.

-3rd Infantry Division: returned from Iraq last summer; undergoing reorganization; due to go back to Iraq this fall or winter.

Separate combat brigades:

-173rd Airborne Brigade: just returned from Iraq.

-3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment: just returned from Iraq.

-2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment: one-year tour in Iraq extended by three months, to June.

-172nd Infantry Brigade: undergoing reorganization; due to regain warfighting readiness in May 2005.
