I have enough friends and family in NYC to know that it's different there. My brother was the worst affected by it; he was not close enough to witness it but he works in the financial industry and they really felt the loss. It was a real blow to the infrastructure of what he does, plus one of the guys he knew from childhood was working for Cantor Fitzgerald and is of course gone now.

And of course we now know that in addition to the psychological aftereffects there will be all kinds of physical fallout due to the smoke and ash and whatnot...but let me stop before I recriminate.
