In my opinion we have no better writers on economic matters than Paul Craig Roberts and Paul Krugman. PCR, as a past Assistant Secretary of the Treasury during the Reagan Administration, is especially effective in debunking the B.S. coming from the yahoos of the supply side school.Today's article,

Link: http://www.counterpunch.com/roberts03102005.html

is a sober warning that all is not well with the prescription of tax cuts for the wealthy in the new Bush economy. One particularly devastating statemnt he refers to is "how Cisco is trying to convert itself into a Chinese corporation".Multiply this many times and you don't have to wonder why tax cuts will never work, if creating jobs is the goal. The type of jobs created now are what PCR correctly calls Third World Service Jobs.

Those who sold the American people this prescription ,economists,op-ed columnists (Tom Friedman comes to mind) should be prosecuted under a new law I would like to see passed: Truth in opinions.
