This last election got me to stop going to (Catholic) church...something I had been doing my whole life. I just started looking at it with the brains and heart that God gave me and I went: this is bullshit. Although the Pope spoke out about the war none of my priests at my parish would I started thinking, why would they, there have been so many awful unjustices that they haven't had the courage to face. The problem (same with protecting the pedophile priests) is that they are all about protecting their considerable wealth. I think they will have to divest themselves of it to really be the Church Jesus envisioned --
