15. Anyone here remember the 1960's?
There were genuinely interesting protests then. Chicago 1968. The hippies nominating a pig named "Pigasus" as the Democratic candidate. They used the four-letter words the media was afraid of. The protests had the impetuousness and courage of youth. The protestors (and I admit I wasn't one of them) didn't care if they were clubbed or imprisoned; they were going to make their point and make it loud.

Then, Kent State happened. The protestors suddenly discovered that they could be killed doing protests. That cooled their ardor really quick. That cooling has gone on so long, the people protesting the current administration are afraid to get so in-your-face, choosing to be "responsible" and "intelligent" protestors. As if that ever worked.

If the people here really cared about their protests, they'd load up on salad dressing, bring their farm animals to Bush's speeches and wear loose-fitting pants so they could moon Ann Coulter at appropriate moments.
