Who's to blame for violence in courtrooms? Comments from a United States Senator from Texas have caused new controversy.

Senator John Cornyn wonders if judicial activism has led to more courthouse violence. Those comments are not sitting well with some local authorities....

"A judge has to make a decision based on the facts of the law. Outside concerns should not impact that a judge makes," (Judge Mike) Denton said.

"I really think that's absurd to try to attribute it to the judges," Head of Security for Sheriff's Department Lt. Jamie Page said, "They make a conscious decision to try to perpetrate acts of violence and that has no bearing on the judge in that courtroom."
