sadly once the rhetoric reaches a certain heated level, both sides dispense with all forms of civility and become barbaric.

I'm willing to "fight fire with fire" at the top levels, realizing that I'm losing something in the process as well...but I do think attacking presidential daughters is something that I'll avoid in favor of taking the higher ground. I sleep better at night if I at least put out that minimal effort.

I no longer have that much charity left in my heart for the Neocon leadership. But for two little rich girls...I harbor more ill feelings toward Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie since they infect so many TV channels.

Regardless...I don't think we benefit by becoming the monsters we fight...despite how attractive, easy, and emotionally satisfying it appears to be.
