As a headhunter/recruiter, people in my business have known for years that Monster is a crappy organization in so many ways. I tell my candidates NOT to post their resumes there. Employers don't like Monster because they often feel there's something wrong with a candidate that posts there, willing to spread their resume to hell and back.
Most people don't realize that Monster is actually owned by a big recruiting firm, that pulls the best resumes off the board before anyone else sees them. They have also posted big financial losses in the last few years, which is presumably, why they're had to partner with the government now to recruit kids for the military.
