Familiar: Fundies see Vatican/UN/EU/liberals as the brood of the Antichrist from the Revelations.

Not so familiar to many of us here: Some Catholics see themselves as the tribulation victims in the Revelations. They also see the Arab/Muslim nations as the key players in bringing about that tribulation. They see the Revelations and Malachy's last prophecy within the same time span.

So I was just pointing out how some Catholics speculated how the Revelations/Malachi would play out as well as adding tongue in cheek that it would be one hell of a conspiracy to make this come true (as opposed to just taking up a name already set in some old writings).
