It is very clear that, however, the way you want to look at it, an agressive attempt is underway to transfer the biggest power, wealth, and control into the hands of fewer people.

The evolution represented by the principle of the American system, i.e., "of the people, by the people, and for the people" - is being betrayed.

Bush has set the standard sooooo low for president, that he will wind up democratizing the system instead.

People who would never have been listened to before Bush became president, are now being heard because now people realize, they don't have to be so snooty, when they choose to consider someone for president.

Every single democratic candidate, has stature simply because, only a complete idiot, would be worse than George Bush.

Think about it. Even people who are said to have absolutely no chance whatsoever, are being heard. After all, what could Mosely-Braun presidency do that people would be afraid of? What would Sharpton do which would scare the hell out of everybody?

Personally, I think someone like Braun or Sharpton, would have a successful approach to problems of the middle east, and in restoring our status as a "family member" of the world.

For my money, I would trust them more. Because I am satisfied, that they are intelligent enough to know what they don't know, as so would actually listen to, respond to, the sound advise given to them by experts.

The same goes for every single candidate we have. (except for one :evilgrin:)

The irony of electronic voting is that, if it could be perfected, it would vastly increase the participation of the public in democracy, (imagine just being able to vote without leaving your house) - make better democracy more possible. But on the other hand, if commandeered by nefarious forces, it would absolutely kill democracy. We are at a crossroads. (God bless Bev Harris) Which way will it go? Dictatorship or democracy?

Because of Bush I believe the public will start considering a better class of candidates by simply listening to people they are used to shutting out.

Potential for greater democracy - not less.
