the ex head of Planned Parenthood:

pp. 19-20

"The Bush family's relationship to reproductive issues is a cautionary tale for the country. Former President George Herbert Walker Bush, as a congressman in the 1970s, was a strong proponent of reproductive rights. He was such an ardent supporter of international family planning that his colleagues nicknamed him Rubbers. In fact, George H.W. Bush's parents helped him found a chapter of Planned Parenthood."

That changed when Bush became Reagan's running mate.

"I can't imagine what Barbara Bush makes of some of her son's extreme positions. She herself has been perfectly straightforward about her pro-choice stance. "for me, abortion is a personal issue-- between the mother, father, and doctor," she wrote in her memoir. "Abortion is not a presidential matter. Education is the answer. Morals cannot be legislated.

What's more, George W's wife, Laure Bush, has made it clear that she, too thinks abortion should be a private decision. "No, I don't think should be overturned," she said on the Today Show in 2001, before she was silenced on the matter. And Bush is surrounded by other close advisors who are pro-choice. Condoleeza Rice has said she's pro-choice, and believes "there's a lot of room in the middle ." Secretary of State Colin Powell has been very clear on the issue: "I believe in a woman's right to choose."

Hope it helps!
