Mystery solved: "They turn in clusters..."
Advertisements [?]
I think I just decoded Scooter's love letter to Judy Miller. Remember that odd little quote at the end:

Out West, where you vacation, the aspens will already be turning. They turn in clusters, because their roots connect them. Come back to work---and life.

:eyes:
So I've been thinking, wtf? "They turn in clusters, because their roots connect them"? That's so lame it's got to be some kind of a coded message. Then tonight I was watching The Daily Show, and Jon Stewart said something about "they're all in this together." And suddenly it became clear.
:wtf:

They are in this together. And they are turning together. Turning state's evidence, that is - against Rove, and maybe against even bigger fish. The note must have been the signal that Libby, and whoever else he's conniving with, had decided to throw Rove under the bus. Libby wasn't worried about Miller's testimony any more; he had probably just signed an immunity deal.

Any bets that when this is all over, we find that the date Libby ratted out Rove was on or just before 9/15? Oh will it be entertaining to watch the indictments roll out!
