53. oh, the stories i could tell you about progressive
a former startup company i worked issued a car loan security that included a huge progressive policy on the pool of cars.

when the claims got too high for them, they canceled the policy retroactively AND KEPT THE PAID-AHEAD PREMIUMS. that's right, they went into court and argued that they can keep the premiums on a canceled policy. and guess what? they somehow won their case.

needless to say, vanishing insurance resulted in a downgrade of our security, and one thing led to another and eventually the startup had to close shop.

so, a big middle finger to progressive.

out-and-out fraud in my book. i will NEVER be a customer of theirs. i'd rather see my money go to an honest republican like buffett than fraudulent democrats like the criminals at progressive.

fwiw, our insurance company is new jersey manufacturers', a mutual insurance company. much cheaper and better than geico or anyone else in new jersey for that matter.
