And the other poster is right: they started it.

I'm 41, never had a s much as a speeding ticket, but three years ago my car insurance went up 47% after I had ONE late payment on a credit card. This is completely legal in Virginia. That's why I left Progressive. I'd had insurance with them for about 10 years.
