7. It won't be McCain
If it is anyone from the Senate, it won't be McCain. Remember Bush/McCain detest each other. That is as you know, because McCain is a reasonable and thoughtful, for a Repugnik anyway, and a real war hero. Bush on the other hand is a Draft Dodging Fundi Corporate Whore. McCain wouldn't do it, and Bush's puppetmasters wouldn't allow it.

I can see Rummy, Ashcroft being called in, perhaps some other far right wing loon, but not McCain.

Nightmare senario, what if the replacement is Jeb? They are registered in different states, and there is no Constitutional prohibition against corrupt brothers. That would set up the Bush Trifecta wouldn't it?
