Just as an experiment because I avoid Safeway in part because of the affinity cards. Where in California did this work for you?

I don't have one there or anywhere else. There are plenty of other places where I can get good prices without them.

On edit: in an earlier post you said it's against the law not to do so. In order for that to be true nationally it must be a Federal law. Do you know which one? It was the law in Massachusetts when I lived there.
