I hope you're right. But I doubt very much that it will happen. As far the pardons, the rightness, or wrongness, of the pardons was not the question, nor did I mean to imply that there was anything wrong with Clinton's pardons. They were, however, somewhat more recent that Bush's, so they popped into my mind first. And they were very last minute.

As far as being taking seriously here. That may, or may not happen. I think that a lot of people, both on and off this forum, tend to be wishful thinkers rather than clear thinkers. The opinions of such people bother me not at all. And in this case, I think that this is not going to bring down the Bush administration, or even harm the Republicans much in the long run. I may be wrong. I hope I'm wrong. But I don't think I'm wrong.

I hope I have not offended you in any way. My remarks are not meant to be personal. Nor are they meant against DU. Every site has some clear thinkers and some wishful ones. And these people may be clear on one issue, and wishful on another. But on the basis of past scandals and the evidence of these indictments I think Bushco is going to skate, and I'm not at all wishful of that.

Further than that, I guess you and I will just have to disagree on the course of future events. Too bad DU doesn't have a "Wagering" forum.
