And IMO it's a crying shame. Not just because there are other candidates who can win, but because it's an indicationg of how bereft, defeated so many Dems really feel. THAT is the tragedy here -- running after some lightweight who can't figure out what party he belongs to, but he wears stars on his shoulder so that must mean he's electable.

He's got so much baggage I have been shocked. And yet people aren't even willing to look at that -- it doesn't matter. He's a general. He must be able to win. Doesn't matter that he's not much of a Democrat (if he's a Democrat at all), we're just so scared of Bush that anything we ThINK (wrongly, IMO) is most electable will do.
