He didn't support Al Gore in 2004 but if he could go back in time I think he'd kiss Gore's ass on election day 2000.

He just had to make a lot of noise back then, secretly hoping Gore would win anyway by a landslide. That way he'd have the best of both worlds. Having Gore as the President while not seeming to kowtow to him.

It was a gamble, and he and the rest of the Greens lost by getting a turkey as president instead.
