Actually, I usually go to the S.F. protests to take pictures and observe the political landscape (at least as it's represented at the protests) but this Saturday was the Red Bull Flugtag so I watched the DC protest on CSPAN instead. It was pretty much all that I expected it to be. Which is another reason to not go. After a while, they're the same song and dance over and over again and, unless it's important for you to be counted and merge with the hive mind, there's not much reason to go. Sound bites and chants for the intellectually lazy followed by appeals for money and website traffic.
