It was great listening to Hannity hotly defending his buddy, when Lott was in trouble (recall the racist remark at a party). He angrily deflected callers who would call in, wondering if Lott was done for?

No way, said he. He angrily denounced the "liberal media" which once again was behind this evil plot to foil his pal.

Then, things got worse and worse for Trent. Things were looking really shaky. Trent made an absolute fool of himself by "promising to help blacks" wherever they were, they could even come and work for him in Washington. Hannity even brought him on to the show to defend him. It was so funny, because the following week, Lott was flushed anyway. By the Republicans.

You could hear it on his voice, the next day. Hannity was embarrassed, flummoxed, didn't quite know what to do. Fool.
