20. Not to be mean, but my mom gave a pair like that to Goodwill in 1983.
They're tritely retro, a poorly executed copy of what was designed in the late sixties and early seventies for nice young things to wear to mixers. They're not even an original design, since the kitten shoe has been around since the 20s and keeps making ever more hideous appearances.

Not that there are many original shoe designs (and I say this as the Doc Marten Wearing, shoe averted daughter of the Shoe Empress of the Western Arm of the Spiral Galaxy; I've seen every shoe on the planet twice :eyes: ) but these are a poor example of recontextualization.

When will this retro passion end and we go on to the next leap forward??
