Even worse than tags on shirt/blouse collars are tags on the inside back of skirts and pants. You can scratch your neck politely, but there's no graceful way to scratch your butt.
New clothing tags last less than half a day on my bod, before I'm driven to duck into the bathroom, whip out a #11 scalpel and perform a tag-ectomy. I used to worry because I invariably removed the washing instructions as well. If a garment doesn't say "machine wash in warm water, tumble dry", I don't buy it.
Now about those bones in bras that invariably decide to stab me in the arm-pit during delicate moments... Those must have been invented by Medieval clerics who decided hair shirts weren't sufficiently uncomfortable.
