I just finished compiling two questions each from about sixty students. Wow. I get to answer them on Friday.

This is not a sex thread, but it sure shows me where these kids' heads are at. I cleaned up the language only a little.

The question I'm starting with is "Why does this happen?".

Continuing with discussion about:

Is it O.K. if boys are interested in girls, at this age
I heard about attitude changes when you in puberty, could you tell the girls if it is true

Should we take showers every day or 3 days or so

How does sexual intercourse occur, when does sex usually occur, how long does it last
How does the female get the sperm from the male while they are having sex
Does a sperm and egg have to come together to make a child
How are people not able to have sex
What happens to the sperms that don't go with the egg, what happens if sperm dies; what happens if an egg dies
If sperm is injected and a woman hasn't had period, will the sperm stay until she has her period
If you cannot see the sperm, then can you not see the egg



I have only an hour with boys, then girls. I truly wish there was much more time for discussion; as you can see, the questions are combined and scrambled and totally anonymous.

I laughed, but I take these kids seriously and respect them. Some look little and some look big, but their questions are good, and there are a hundred ways to misinform and misstep.
