Puppies and dogs are rather klutzy (though probably well meaning at most times) and a bunny can get hurt and scared easily.

8 years old is old for a bun. :) Have the puppy play and frolic, but probably not around the bun. You can give them each the love and attention they deserve, though probably not at the same time. :)
