I've let my Med. lapse, unfortunately and I haven't done any flying as pilot in command for over 12 years. But, it is definitely the accomplishment I am most proud of after my kids. :)

I'm not sure where you're located, but where I am, there are smaller outfits (still very realiable) that cost a lot less than taking lessons at a big or major airport. Just something to think about. Here, there are little airports everywhere, with plenty of them providing lessons.
