Hope you have the Ellington/Coltrane Album also Coltrane's follow-up "Ballads"

Also recommend Miles Davis' "1958 Sessions" which has Coltrane, Cannonball Adderly and Bill Evans in the group.

Duke Ellington: "Far East Suite" and "Reminiscence of the Bag Band Era" which has Ellington doing all the themes of of the great Big Bands and includes a "Rhapsody in Blue" that rejuvenates lost brain cells. Ellington is the bridge between big band and modern jazz, paved the way for the likes of Monk and Coltrane.
