71. SOME people with cellphones
Edited on Wed Mar-16-05 06:39 PM by fujiyama
can be annoying, and some can simply be dangerous (ie drivers), but the technology itself is very useful. I use it usually when I have to meet someone. Plus I have a speaker phone option which allows me to speak in the car (short conversations only though) and not get any wires in my way or get my hands off the wheel. But there is a proper etiquette and no I don't wander around stores talking on one (well maybe a video rental place when I'm trying to ask about certain videos) and certainly not restaurants, movie theatres, and classes (yes some people actually answer their phones in class)...

What amuses me though is that some people are willing to throw hundreds of dollars at new models. I have a friend that paid 500 dollars on a phone on credit with money he really doesn't have.

In emergency situations they can be a lifesaver. Everyone that drives should atleast have an emergency phone in their car (all phones even ten year old phones are required to be able to call 911).
