I was in Austin some 20 years ago. There was a Reggae Sunslpash Festival on the same day and at the same time as the Miles Davis concerts.

I went to the Reggae Sunslash, it was down by the Colorado River. Somehow things got fucked up and some bands came on late. Then precisely at midnite, they cut the power off and all the sudden it was over.

Everbody was bummed, but since most of the people out there were ganja smoking hippies nobody started a riot.

But however, when I talked to all of my Jazz musician buddies who when to see Miles, they told me I missed a fantastic concert.

Miles died before I ever had the opportunity to see him again.
