I understand the difference between normal kid outburts and the kind that signal the kid is in charge - not the parent.
I sympathize with parents in public when the kids decide to test them. I NEVER shoot them an evil eye etc.. If anything I smile acknowledging their frustration.
It's the parents who don't take control that bother me or can't see that others may not be as used to listening to junior as they are. If the kid was brought in the house instead of out the patio and through the complex I wouldn't have said anything. It's when parents are incosiderate of others and who think a disciplined child can't be a happy child that I have to object. They then allow their situation to become mine and that's not right.
