34. Don't we?! I remember that day well, and it was very festive!
Not only was it Seating Day, when we got out permanent seats in the chapel, but we'd just had the rare treat of cheese strata for lunch, a memorable day, indeed.

Did you all have Seating Day? We had to put on our class hats and wear our class ribbons, then juniors and seniors sang insulting songs to each other from the top and bottom of the hill, in front of the Northfield Chapel. (While this was going on, your sophomore held your hat...) And, as soon as those festivities were over, seniors had to grab their juniors (everybody had one) and run to get ice cream sundaes, in front of Gould!!! Doesn't that sound like such fun?!!! I know you think I'm making this up, but I swear that I'm not kidding. I guess that this was a holdover tradition distant past, and most of us, except for a few hard-asses, only went for the ice cream, LOL!
