And because it's too cold here to go out...
Oh, the pain of bundling up with layers of sweaters and coats and scarves, and getting in the car and it's cold and the steering wheel hurts the hands and by the time we arrive at our destination we're just about warmed up and then we have to get out of the car and get COLD again and then go into some entertainment/food establishment and get all unbundled and do the entire reverse dance to get back home, where it will be COLD again because we can't afford to leave the heat on while we are away since the cost of heating the house will be maybe slightly less than the national debt this winter.

Soooooo... drinking sounds good. Drinking at home is cost efficient AND we dont' have to argue or flip a coin about who's gonna be the designated driver.
