17. Below 100????
Average intelligence is between 85 to 115 with 100 being the median range. Average range is always a +/-15 points on either side of 100. Above 115can indicate considered gifted. Below 85 can be indicative of lower intelligence capability, but also, for some when compared side by side with other types of test scores, can reveal existing problems that hamper an individual's ability to learn, such as emotional problems.

Am a retired SpEd teacher, and have had to evaluate many students by interpreting scores based on many types of tests, including IQ test results.

IQ results can be deceiving in that the end score doesn't give the entire picture of a person's overall capabilities. I've had Learning Disabled students who tested above 115 in certain areas of the total IQ test, but, when given educational capability testing, came in below the average median range in certain areas of reading capabilities.

IQ testing is all about indications that reveal only a part intelligence capability. These online tests are also only a part of a complete IQ test.
