Have you ever been repelled by one's 'religious fervor'....? [View All]

I recently requested information from someone about a business opportunity. When I received it, I was surprised and I don't know, maybe...'put off' by the content of the information.

This business has NOTHING to do with religion. Apparently the person with the biz is a christian or a bible thumper--not sure. Within the packet of information, were several samples of her work. All of the samples were of a religious nature. All of them.

A poem she wrote--religious. Samples utilizing her art, used biblical texts. Samples of her husband's work--religious, also featuring biblical texts. A brochure offering advertising her work in a variety of prayers... :shrug:

I understand that a feature of christianity and other religions, is to 'minister' to others, or to share your faith. But I find it off putting and rather unprofessional that this is the way someone is representing themselves--at least it is to me. Isn't this presumptuous of this person to assume I share their beliefs and/or want to witness it, so to speak?

Anyway, have you ever felt put out or repelled by someone 'sharing their faith' with you this way? Or in some other way?
