Did you have a dad or granddad who wore suits, or ties, at home? [View All]

I was wondering about that today. Looking at old photos (not of my family, but older photos), men - at least professional men - were almost always in suits. But even a lot of craftsmen, farmers, and others used to wear suits a lot, though not necessarily at home.

My grandfathers were not suit guys, nor was my dad. Dad had a job for a year or so at the plant that required a tie, but other than that, he pretty never wore a tie, let alone a suit, unless to a funeral or something really special.

Perhaps its just the lie of the pictures, but it seems that in the old days, a lot more men wore suits, and wore them a lot more often, even at home.
