43. What's the equivalent of mealiness for oranges?
Whatever it is, I had one yesterday. And it was from the Big Island, too. Usually Big Island oranges are to oranges what (you're telling me) Pink Ladies or Honeycrisps are to apples (we don't export them, though. Sorry. :( ) But this one was nasty in the same way that California navels can get nasty: half of some of the sections were even dried out. Ick!

I suppose I shouldn't have been so elated to see Big Island oranges for 89 cents a pound after all. :shrug:
