So...I have Slap Face.

AKA 5th Disease.
Never heard of it until my grandson came downstairs one morning last week with bright red cheeks.
Mottled red skin on his arms and tummy.
"How do you feel?"
"Fine."
Hmmm

Research shows it's a virus, kind of kin to measles, but not.
Usually shows up in kids from 5 to 14.
And they usually feel 'fine'.
No other symptoms.

50% have had it and don't know it.
If you have, you're immune.

Not so for us elders.
Flushed cheeks, achy joints, stuffy head, runny nose.
blah
