His infection has mostly cleared up, but his kidneys aren't functioning still and he has a heart murmur, basically permanent damage to his heart.

They're keeping him until Monday to see if anything improves.

He's so... listless. He just lays there while I pet him, doesn't look at me. A couple of times he tried feebly to escape. He could barely walk, he was shaking, couldn't stay on his feet. His paw is wrapped in bandages to keep the IV in and he just kept lifting it, sort of waving it. It's painful to see him. He's limp and unresponsive in my arms, like a sack of bones. My heart just hurts.
